Drug Uses
Seasonale is a medicine used to prevent pregnancy but it does not protect against transmission of HIV (AIDS) and other sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, and syphilis.
How Taken
You should take one pill a day, at the same time every day, until you finish the tablet dispenser. Do not skip pills even in case you are bleeding or have stomach problems, or if you do not have sex very often.
Warnings/Precautions
Consult your doctor before using oral birth control pills if you are breast feeding because some of them may pass into breast milk and may affect the baby.
Missed Dose
It is possible to become pregnant if you miss pills or if the start the packing later. Do not exceed 24 hour between the doses you take.
Possible Side Effects
Seasonale may cause high blood pressure and spotty darkening of the skin, particularly of the face. You may also experience the following less serious side effects: nausea and vomiting, change in appetite, breast tenderness, headache, nervousness, depression, dizziness, loss of scalp hair, rash, vaginal infections, and allergic reactions.
Storage
Seasonale should be stored at a controlled room temperature of 20�-25� C (68�-77� F). Keep it away from children.
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose of Seasonale, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Overdosage may be signaled by nausea and withdrawal bleeding in females.
