Protopic is used for treatment of eczema that has been diagnosed by a doctor.

How Taken

A thin layer of Protopic is applied on the affected skin areas, trying to cover them completely.

Warnings/Precautions

It is recommended that you avoid sunlight, sunlamps, tanning beds and treatment with UVA and UVB light. Use protection when you go out. Ask your doctor for the protection you may use.

Missed Dose

Apply the missed dose of Protopic as soon as you remember.

Possible Side Effects

Among the most common side effects caused by Protopic are stinging, soreness, a burning feeling, or itching of the skin treated with Pthe medicine. They usually occur in the first few days of the treatment and are mild to moderate.

Storage

Protopic should be stored at room temperature (59E to 86EF). Do not leave the medicine in your car in hot or cold weather. The tube should always be tightly closed. Keep Protopic away from children.

Overdose

An overdose of Protopic is very unlikely to occur. If you suspect an overdose, immediately search for medical help.
