Drug Uses
Patanol is prescribed to cease the daily allergic symptoms. Patanol is a watery preparation applied to the eyes to keep from itching resulting from allergic conditions. Itchy eyes can cause incarnation, which will disappear on stopping to rub your eyes and they are not bothering you anymore because of accepting Patanol.
How Taken
The advised dose is one drop per infected eye two times a day at pause of 6-8 hours.
Warnings/Precautions
Patanol shouldn't be applied if your eyes are bacterially, virally or fungally infected exceptfor cases when you are taking anti-infection measures. Patanol falls in category C of the FDA pregnancy meaning it is not known whether Patanol is harmful for a fetus. Do not apply this medicine without prior medical consultation in case of pregnancy. It is unknown whether Patanol penetrates into mother's milk. Patanol usage without prior medical consultation in cases when you nurse a baby is not recommended. Patanol is banned by the FDA for application to children under 3.
Missed Dose
Accept the omitted dose when you remember for it.
Possible Side Effects
Serious side effects from Patanol are unlikely to manifest. Ask for emergency help if you suffer from any allergic symptoms (troubled breathing; congestion of your throat; bloating of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives). Lighter side effects may be more unlikely. Resume your usual schedule and ask for medical help if you experience burning, stinging, irritation, itching, incarnation, or eye dryness of the eyes; swollen eyelids; a congested or runny nose; migraine; or taste changes. Side effects different from those listed here may also manifest. Consult with your doctor about any unusual effects that are especially troublesome.
Storage
Keep at 39�F to 86�F (4�C to 30�C).
Overdose
Excessive dosing of this medication is highly unlikely. If you have any suspicions of an overdose, go to an emergency room or poison control center in the vicinity. If the drops are accepted orally, drink a lot and ask for emergency medical help to receive advice.
More Information
Keep the dropper away from touch with objects and don't peck it at your eyes or hands. The dropper is sterile. Possible contamination could lead to infection in your eyes. Patanol is supplied with a preservative (benzalkonium chloride), so keep your contact lenses away while using this medicine. Contact lenses can be put 15 minutes after application. Better don't use other drops if not prescribed by your doctor.
