Drug Uses
Motrin is a medicine used to treat the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It may relief mild to moderate pain. Motrin may be also used to treat primary dysmenorrheal.
How Taken
The daily dosage of Motrin should not exceed 3200 mg. Take the medicine will food or milk if you experience gastrointestinal toxicity.
Warnings/Precautions
Do not use Motrin if you have hypersensitivity to the drug, or the syndrome of nasal polyps, angioedema and bronchospastic reactivity to aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents. Serious gastrointestinal toxicity like bleeding, ulceration, and perforation, may occur at any time with or without symptoms.
Missed Dose
In case you miss a dose, take the drug as soon as you remember. If it is already time for your next dose, skip the missed one and take the scheduled one. Do no take a double dose.
Possible Side Effects
The most usual and frequent side effects that may occur are gastrointestinal problems. You may also experience blurred and/or diminished vision, scotomata, and/or changes in color vision.
Storage
Motril should be stored at a controlled room temperature 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F).
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose, immediately search for medical attention. The stomach should be emptied by vomiting.
More Information
Inform your doctor if you experience any signs or symptoms of gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding, blurred vision or other eye symptoms, skin rash, weight gain, or edema.

Allergies
The active ingredient in MOTRIN is ibuprofen, which is a member of the propionic acid group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
It is used for reduction of fever in patients aged 6 months and older, relief of mild to moderate pain in patients aged 6 months and older, relief of signs and symptoms of juvenile arthritis.
