Microzide is a medicine used to treat edema and high blood pressure.

How Taken

The recommended dosage of Microzide is one tablet a day early in the morning. You may take the medicine with food or milk to avoid stomach problems.

Warnings/Precautions

Inform your doctor if you have a medical history, especially about: gout, diabetes, liver problems, urinary problems, any allergies.

Missed Dose

In case you miss a dose, take the drug as soon as you remember. If it is already time for your next dose, skip the missed one and take the scheduled one. Do no take a double dose.

Possible Side Effects

Microzide may cause the following side effects: black, tarry stools; blood in urine or stools; cough or hoarseness; fever or chills; joint pain; lower back or side pain; painful or difficult urination; pinpoint red spots on skin; skin rash or hives; stomach pain with nausea and vomiting; unusual bleeding or bruising; yellow eyes or skin. Stop using Microzide and consult your doctor if you experience any bothersome side effects.

Storage

Microzide should be stored at a temperature under 86 degrees F (30 degrees C), in a tightly-closed container, away from heat, moisture, and light. Keep it away from children.

Overdose

If you suspect an overdose, immediately search for medical help. An overdose of Microzide may be signaled by unconsciousness, nausea/vomiting, weakness, slow or shallow breathing, dizziness, confusion, unusually slow heartbeat, seizures, drowsiness, or fainting.
