Drug Uses
Lamisil is used to treat onychomycosis of the toenail or fingernail caused by dermatophytes.
How Taken
Lamisil is in the form of tablet that should be taken orally once a day for a period of 6 weeks for the treatment of fingernail fungus and once a day for a period of 12 weeks for the treatment of toenail fungus. You should take the medicine exactly as directed; do not take more or less pills and do not use the medicine more often or for a longer period than prescribed. The fungus may not be completely treated after you finish the therapy but this is so because the healthy nail needs time to grow up.
