Drug Uses
The medicine Elimite is used to treat scabies.
How Taken
Apply about 30 grams of Elimite on the skin from the head to the soles of the feet. Avoid applying it on cuts or wounds because big quantity of the medicine may be assimilated by the body through the cuts. Wash the cream after 8-14 hours. Elimite may pass into breast-milk so if you are breast-feeding it is recommended that you consult your doctor before using the medicine.
Warnings/Precautions
Elimite cream should not be applied to the eyes, nose, and mouth. In case this happens, wash the cream immediately with a lot of water. Sexual contacts should be avoided until the infection is cured.
Missed Dose
There is no possibility to miss a dose as Elimite is applied only once.
Possible Side Effects
If you experience any of these side effects, call your doctor: itching, burning or stinging, tingling, numbness, redness, swelling, or rash.
Storage
Keep Elimite at a temperature of 15� to 25�C (59� to 77�F). Keep away from children.
Overdose
An overdose of Elimite may cause increased irritation or erythema. Call your doctor if you think you have overdosed the medicine.
More Information
It is recommended that you wash all clothes, hats, sheets, hair brushes and combs to prevent reoccurrence of the infection.
