Drug Uses

Bentyl is a medicine used to relieve cramps or spasms of the stomach, intestines, and bladder.

How Taken

Take the medicine as your doctor directed; do not take less or more pills, and do not take it more often or longer because this may increase the chance of experiencing side effects.

Warnings/Precautions

Consult your doctor before taking Bentyl in case you are pregnant or in case you plan to become pregnant. Contact your doctor before you stop taking the medicine because your doctor my want to gradually reduce your dosage. If you stop the medicine you may experience withdrawal side effects such as vomiting, sweating, and dizziness.

Missed Dose

In case you miss a dose, take the drug as soon as you remember. If it is already time for your next dose, skip the missed one and take the scheduled one. Do no take a double dose of Bentyl.

Possible Side Effects

Bentyl may cause the following side effects: confusion or memory loss; constipation; difficult urination; drowsiness; dryness of mouth, nose, throat, or skin; and unusual excitement, nervousness, restlessness, or irritability.

Storage

Bentyl should be stored at a controlled room temperature between 15°C - 30°C. Keep it away from children.

Overdose

If you suspect an overdose, immediately search for medical help. An overdose of Bentyl may be signaled by nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dilated pupils, hot dry skin, dizziness, dryness of the mouth, difficulty in swallowing.

More Information
